Diplo has revealed the real reason behind his apparent feud with Drake.
The American DJ, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, said he recently found out he had “beef” with Drake when he was unfollowed by the rapper on Instagram.
Speaking to The Cut, Diplo said he believes the unfollow was prompted by an innocent joke that was made about Drake’s son Adonis on Twitter – which has since been deleted.
“I can’t remember exactly what it was, but it was super-funny,” he confessed.
Trying to remember why Drake “for sure hates” him, the 41-year-old and his social media team investigated why he was unfollowed on Instagram and Twitter.
Diplo then said they found the possible offending tweet, a joke about Drake’s 2-year-old son Adonis joining rap collective, Brockhampton.
Hoping to settle his feud with the rapper, Diplo said: “Come back, dude! I miss us! I miss us!”
While the pair have not released music together, Diplo previously revealed in an interview that previously worked on a demo.
