Demi Moore’s credit card allegedly STOLEN and used for $169,000 shopping spree

The suspect has been arrested

Demi Moore’s credit card was allegedly stolen by a man back in March, and he went on quite the shopping spree – spending $169,000 of the actress’ money.

Entertainment Tonight has obtained criminal court documents which claim that a man named David Matthew Read stole the actress’ credit card between March 8 and March 27 of this year.

After noticing suspicious transactions on her statement, the 55-year-old’s personal assistant called the credit card company to report that the card has been used for fraudulent transactions.

After contacting the credit card company, they discovered that someone had reported the card lost and requested a replacement card.

The court documents read, “D.M.’s personal assistant stated that neither she nor D.M. made this report or request.”

After making a complaint, a surveillance video allegedly showed David Matthew Read making purchases from Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Los Angeles at the same dates and times that her card was used.

The documents report that the man in question was arrested on April 5 outside of a storage unit he had rented in Hollywood, and he later confessed.

The man is currently in jail.
