Demi Lovato’s home was to be targeted by a group of burglars during her stint in rehab.
TMZ heard from LAPD that her home was the target of a would-be burglary by a group of thieves.
The criminals were apprehended when Demi left her main rehab facility to visit a mental health and addiction specialist in Chicago.
Police told TMZ that they found electronic communications between the thieves that confirmed their intent to target the singer’s home while she recovered from her recent overdose.
Police presence had been stepped up around her home as the world knew it was empty while she was recovering.
The added security presence has worked so far as there has yet to be a burglary.
