Damian Powers has set the record straight regarding his relationship with Too Hot To Handle’s Francesca Farago.
The Love Is Blind star was spotted walking arm-in-arm out of a Los Angeles restaurant with the Canadian model on Tuesday, with fans left wondering where his Netflix co-star and girlfriend Giannina Gibelli was.
Responding to the internet’s questions, Damian said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight: “Over the past week, I have been in L.A. with my attorney, Alex Ion, pursuing new projects and business ventures. Francesca and I both share the same attorney.”
“Alex arranged for both Francesca and I to meet with him for dinner at the Eveleigh in West Hollywood along with some of our other friends, including Mitchell Crawford and Raiane Macedo,” Damian explained.
“We all planned to leave the Eveleigh together in the same car. Francesca, Alex, Mitchell and Raiane all exited through a side entrance, while I exited through the main entrance of the Eveleigh.
“Francesca grabbed onto me in an attempt to shield herself from the paparazzi as our entire group entered the car. Francesca and I are not dating or romantically involved but remain friends.”
Meanwhile Damian’s girlfriend Giannina took to her Instagram Story to reshare Damian’s exclusive, adding: “Thank you everyone for caring.”
“This whole thing has been unnecessary,” she added, “But hey what are you gonna do?
“I’m confident in my relationship and I’m confident in me. I never doubted us for a second.”
Meanwhile, Francesca has been enjoying single life – being linked to other famous faces such as YouTube star Tana Mongeau and most recently Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino.
The news comes just months after Francesca announced her split from her Too Hot To Handle co-star Harry Jowsey: “Harry and I are not together anymore.”
“He decided to break up with me because he couldn’t do long-distance anymore. I obviously was heartbroken. I did everything I could,” she confirmed in a YouTube video.
“Couples fight and you go through arguments,” she said. “We would argue every now and then, but it was never for me relationship ending. And I think for him, small, little things ended up turning into relationship ending arguments.”
“I didn’t want to believe it because how could you have a wedding ring folder with someone, and how could you propose to someone, but you’re also saying I can’t be with you because of the distance. It makes me feel like I was being played.”
“For me. I would have stuck by this person no matter what. Through all the fights and everything I would have never given up, but it wasn’t reciprocated. He was moving on, and he is moving on and I need to do the same,” she added.
