Dakota Johnson shares her phone number with Global Citizen Festival crowd

Dakota Johnson shared her phone number with the Global Citizen Festival crowd.

The actress told the audience that she wants them to contact her to share their experiences of sexual assault with her.

While addressing the crowd, Dakota took her mobile phone out of her pocket and a phone number appeared on a screen behind her.

“This is my phone number. I want you to call me and tell me your story in a voicemail,” she told the audience.

“Or I want you to send me a message at dakota.johnson@globalcitizen.org and tell me what you’ve gone through as a women or girl in the world that’s been suffering,” the 28-year-old continued.

“I want to help you, women and girls around the world, tell your story.”

The actress explained that she was going to compile all of the stories together to “get them heard to amplify your voice.”

“If we don’t speak the same language, that’s OK. We have a team for that. We’ll translate it. And if you’re going to threaten to hurt me, we have a team for that too,” the actress joked.

“And I think together we can achieve a world where she is equal,” Dakota concluded.

Many celebrities took to the stage at the Global Citizens Festival last night where they discussed issues such as equality, the importance of voting and sexual abuse.

Stars such as Cardi B, Janet Jackson, Robert de Niro and Janelle Monáe were just some of the celebs that spoke about the pressing issues facing the world today.
