Cody Simpson has opened up about his relationship with Miley Cyrus.
The Australian singer dated the Hannah Montana star for ten months, before calling it quits in August last year.
In a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia, the 24-year-old gave an insight into how their whirlwind romance came to be.
He said: “I’d known her for a long time at that point. She’d kind of acted almost as like a, not as a mentor, but she was always a heightened creative person.”
“We went from kind of being good friends and just having a lot of the same friends to being together for a while.”
Speaking about the couple’s split, Cody added: “Everything ended fairly amicably. It was just one of those phases I guess you go through and you learn a lot from it.”
Miley and Cody started dating in October 2019, shortly after Miley ended her relationship with Kaitlynn Carter.
Miley enjoyed a brief romance with Brody Jenner’s ex two months after she split from her longterm love Liam Hemsworth – who she was married to for less than a year.
Cody is now dating model Marloes Stevens.
