Clueless is being turned into a musical, and we’re totally buggin’.
The iconic 90s film is being adapted for the stage, which will be performed on Broadway.
The live production by ‘The New Musical Group’ will feature new musical numbers to go with Cher, Dionne and Tai’s most memorable and iconic lines.
The script will be written by the 1995 film’s original screenwriter and director, Amy Heckerling.
Amy told Entertainment Weekly how she was really excited “because I’m getting involved in a whole new world.”
According to ‘New Musical Group’, the production will bring “a fresh take on the story of Cher.”
“A girl so psychotically optimistic she can’t see that her bungling attempts at playing Cupid disguise her own fashion-plated isolation.”
The show will be directed by Kristin Hanggi, and choreographed by Kelly Devine, with performances beginning in November.
Casting for the new production has not been announced, but we hope we see some of the original cast.
