Chrissy Teigen reacts to follow from President Joe Biden – after years of being blocked by Trump

Chrissy Teigen is celebrating being the only celebrity followed on Twitter by President Joe Biden.

After being sworn in as the 46th President of the United States on Wednesday, Biden and his family’s social media accounts were switched over to official US government accounts.

The 78-year-old now operates under the @POTUS Twitter username, with his wife and new First Lady Jill using the handle @FLOTUS.

Biden follows 12 people on his Twitter, including Vice President Kamala Harris, her husband Douglas Emhoff, and members of the White House.

Chrissy, who was blocked by former President Donald Trump back in 2017, pleaded with Biden to follow her on the social media platform.

The model wrote: “hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plz.”

After switching over to his official government account, Biden granted Chrissy’s request.

Sharing her excitement, the 35-year-old tweeted: “OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!”

“my heart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president’s tweets and they probably won’t be unhinged,” she added.

Chrissy spent inauguration day in Washington DC with her husband John Legend and their daughter Luna (4) and two-year-old son Miles.

John performed the track ‘Feeling Good’ during the 90-minute special inauguration programme ‘Celebrating America’.

Sharing a sweet family photo from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on the historic day, Chrissy wrote: “ran our asses up the stairs for this shot. just incredible to be here.

“sober. I know that’s weird but it’s like…a different world for me. everything is new and better. very happy. the most happy bigly happy,” she added.
