Chris Hemsworth debuts a BIG makeover in first look at Thor: Ragnarok

The first look at Thor: Ragnarok is here – and it comes with a few surprises.

Entertainment Weekly published a photo on its latest cover of Chris Hemsworth showing off a totally new look for the superhero.

The actor had chopped off Thor’s famous long locks and was showing off short hair, and he was carrying two swords instead of the character’s trademark hammer.

Fans couldn’t stop talking about Thor’s makeover, and they were almost as surprised by Cate Blanchett’s appearance on the cover.

The actress portrays Hela, Goddess of Death and was seen with long, dark hair, pale eyes, dramatic make-up and wearing a black and green catsuit.

Tessa Thompson, who is playing Valkyrie, was also shown on the cover by Thor’s side, dressed in all-black.

The third Thor film will see Chris’s character trapped without his hammer on another planet and having to battle his old friend the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) before he can return to Asgard.

And he doesn’t have much time, as the villainous Hela must be stopped as she tries to unleash a Ragnorak which will destroy his world and the people within it.

Thor: Ragnarok, which also stars Tom Hiddleston, Jeff Goldblum, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins and Benedict Cumberbatch, hits cinemas on November 3rd.
