Chris Brown has revealed all about the night he assaulted Rihanna, and admitted that she was “spitting blood.”
In a new documentary, Chris Brown: Welcome to my life, the singer reveals all that happened that night.
In 2009, a woman Chris had confessed to sleeping with before his relationship with Rihanna showed up at a pre-Grammys party without him knowing.
Rihanna burst into tears at the party and while Chris managed to calm her down initially, things escalated on the way home after they had both had a few drinks.
Chris handed over his mobile phone to try and prove he had no idea the woman would be there, but Rihanna found a text that he hadn’t read from her, which said she would be at the party.
He said, “She starts going off, she throws the phone, ‘I hate you!’, whatever, whatever, she starts hitting me, we’re in a little Lamborghini, you know she’s fighting me.
“Like I remember she tried to kick me, just like her beating s**t, but then I really hit her.
“With a closed fist, like I punched her, and it busted her lip, and when I saw it I was in shock, I was like ‘f***, why did I hit her like that?'”
He continued, “So from there she’s…spitting blood in my face, it raised me even more. It’s a real fight in the car, and we driving in the street.
“I’m like ‘yo, we tripping, what the f***, what are we doing?’ She tried to grab for my phone, and I’m not giving her my phone, to throw it out the window.”
He then said that Rihanna grabbed his crotch while scrambling to get his phone, and so he bit her on the arm while he was driving.
“I’m just trying to resolve the situation, I’m not trying to fight any further, like I love her, I don’t want to hurt my girlfriend.”
“She takes the keys out of the car, and fakes it like she throws them out of the window,’ he added.
“I get out the car and I’m looking for the keys and somebody yelled and she yells out her door, ‘Help, he’s trying to kill me.'”
Chris then told the singer to drive home, adding, “By this time her lip was busted she had a knock because I’d pushed her head up against the window.
“A lot of the times, I look back at that picture and I think ‘that’s not me bro, that’s not me’. I hate it to this day, that’s going to haunt me forever.”
