Channing Tatum has dressed up as a fairy princess as he announced the news that he has written a children’s book.
The Hollywood star shared a snap of himself with his new book ‘The One and Only Sparkella’, as he posed in a set of fairy wings, a princess eyemask, and was surrounded by unicorn teddy bears.
The father-of-one, who shares a seven-year-old daughter with ex-wife Jenna Dewan, took to Instagram to share the news.
“Guys, I don’t know about you but things got a little weird for me in quarantine,” he wrote.
“I ended up accidentally locking myself in my 7 year old daughter’s room. And I ended up finding my inner child.
“So this is what I created for my little girl. From what is, I guess, the little girl in me. Thanks for reading,” he added.
‘The One and Only Sparkella’ is described as “a charming ode to self-esteem and the love between a father and daughter”, and tells the story a girl learning about the importance of being herself, no matter what other people say.
“To Everly, the most brilliant magical being that I have ever known,” Channing wrote in the book’s dedication obtained by People, “You are my greatest teacher.”
“My only wish is for more time in this life to play in all of the magical realms we have created,” the proud dad continued.
“This is also for all Dads that might have a little girl…Wear whatever, dance however, and be as magical as you can. Because I promise they will return the love.”
People took to Twitter to react to the hilarious photo, with one user writing: “Definitely didn’t see “Channing Tatum writes a children’s book in quarantine” coming but it’s real cute (and this promo is pretty solid too)”.

I just want to appreciate Channing Tatum for obviously being a delightful father, and also for knowing his brand well enough to not wear a shirt. https://t.co/ajaYMKdrX4
