Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon rushed to hospital after suffering a ‘cardiac incident’

Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon has been rushed to hospital after suffering a “cardiac incident”.

The actor, who plays Xander in the 1990s show, was taken to A&E for treatment and is now resting and “focusing on medical appointments”.

His sister shared an update on the 51-year-old via an Instagram post on his account.

Last year, Nicholas underwent surgery after suffering “paralysis in his genitals” and legs.

His manager claimed that the paralysis was caused by having to sleep in a concrete-floored jail cell after his arrest for prescription fraud.

Nicholas’ sister shared an Instagram post on his account, explaining that this was the second “cardiac incident” he has suffered since the surgery.

She wrote: “Nicky sends his love and wanted me to apologize that he hasn’t been going live as much lately and to give everyone an update.”

“Nicky is doing fine now but he had to be rushed to emergency about two weeks ago because of a cardiac incident (tachycardia/arrhythmia).”

“Some of you might remember he had a similar incident after his second spinal surgery last year (for Cauda Equina) but this time. He is trying to get a little more rest and has been concentrating on medical appointments.”

Nicholas is also well known for playing Penelope Garcia’s love interest, Kevin Lynch, on Criminal Minds.
