Britney Spears switches up iconic song lyrics to promote social distancing

The singer is urging fans to stay at home amid the coronavirus pandemic

Britney Spears has promoted social distancing by switching up the lyrics from her hit song ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’.

The 38-year-old switched up the words by changing my loneliness is “killing me” to “saving me”, as she encouraged fans to stay at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The pop star took to Twitter to share the message with her fans, alongside an illustration of herself from the 1998 music video holding a bottle of hand sanitiser.

“Enough said,” she captioned the photo.

Britney proceeded to thank healthcare workers for all of their hard work and dedication.

“And thank you to all of the healthcare workers tirelessly working to keep us safe during this time !!!! #WorldHealthDay #ThanksHealthHeroes,” she added.

On this week’s episode of The Gosscast, Goss.ie founder Ali Ryan and Editor Kendra Becker chat about the celebrities who are donating millions to help amid the coronavirus crisis, and the serious drama on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
