Britney Spears is still seeing her kids, despite claims she is ‘imprisoned in her own home’

Britney Spears has still been seeing her children, despite recent concerns that the star has been “imprisoned in her own home”.

The popstar has remained under conservatorship since her alleged breakdown in 2008, preventing her from legally controlling her life and assets.

Fans of the star have called for an end to the conservatorship, expressing growing concern for Britney’s wellbeing by getting the #FreeBritney movement trending worldwide in recent weeks.

Despite the concern, sources told TMZ that Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline is confident their sons Jayden and Sean are safe in their mother’s home.

According to the insider, Kevin does not feel his ex-wife poses a risk to their children and therefore her visitation has not been effected.

The news comes after Britney’s brother Bryan claimed that the family do not see her son’s as often.

“We do [see them],” he told As Not Seen on TV podcast, “When we were doing the Vegas run and I was going back and forth, I was working with Caesars Entertainment at the time, and Britney and I lived together for that four-year run. So I had the boys there pretty much every other weekend.”

“I got to see them a lot then; now I don’t get to see them as much,” he added – confirming the boys were with their father.

Britney’s 12-year conservatorship, or legal guardianship, was approved by the court in 2008 after she suffered several public mental breakdowns.

A conservatorship, granted to those who are incapable of making decisions, was previously controlled by their father Jamie – who stepped down in September 2019 due to ongoing health issues and was replaced by Britney’s longtime care manager Jodi Montgomery.

Her 43-year-old brother admitted the situation has been “frustrating” and that his younger sister has “wanted to get out of it for quite some time.”

“Whether someone’s coming in peace to help or coming in with an attitude, having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating. She’s wanted to get out of it for quite some time.”

The singer has made a habit of posting impromptu photoshoots and dance sessions on her Instagram feed – but her videos have caused fans to question her wellbeing.

Britney’s fans are convinced that her recent quirky posts are coded cries for help, pushing them to ask her to signal whether she’s “in danger” by wearing a particular colour in her Instagram posts.

Seemingly responding to the fan’s concern, Britney wrote on Instagram: “I get how some people might not like my posts or even understand them, but this is me being happy….. this is me being authentic and as real as it gets!!!!!”

“I want to inspire people to do the same and just be themselves without pleasing others ….. that’s the key to happiness ???????????????? !!!!!!”

In the latest episode of #GossChats, social media star and TV presenter James Patrice addresses the recent cancellation of Dancing With The Stars, being single during lockdown and creating viral hits with his family.
