Britney Spears’ boyfriend has spilled details on their awkward first meeting.
Sam Asghari, who has been dating the singer for over a year, confessed he didn’t have the best pick up line when he wooed the star.
Speaking to Men’s Health, Sam revealed that he had been hired to star in Britney’s ‘Slumber Party’ music video when the pop star first introduced herself.
Instead of going along with Britney’s introduction, Sam played a joke in which he pretended he didn’t know who she was.
After the blonde songstress said, “Hi, I’m Britney,” he replied, “I’m sorry, What’s your name again?”
Sam explained, “I tried to be funny. I don’t think anybody got it.”
Although their first meeting was awkward, the pair exchanged numbers and eventually went on a date, going out for sushi together.
The fitness trainer now lives with Britney and her two boys, Jaden and Sean, in her home, and they often post work out videos together.
The hunk also spilled that he was previously 100lbs overweight, and was staying in an overcrowded apartment in LA.
After working out hard, Sam lost the weight, became a model, and now has an upcoming role in a movie.
