Bradley Cooper reveals what it was like starring alongside Lady Gaga in A Star is Born

He's also directing the film

Bradley Cooper has revealed what it was like working with Lady Gaga when filming their new movie A Star is Born.

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, will star alongside Golden globe winner Bradley Cooper in the musical remake of A Star is Born.

Bradley, 42, also makes his directorial debut working on this film, which is set to be released in cinemas next May.

The musical tale is like a “broken love story” between two jaded country music stars,  Jackson Maine (Cooper) and Ally (Lady Gaga).

“I wanted to explore the realities of loving another human being, and what that demands [of a person],” Bradley told Entertainment weekly.

“[We’re exploring] what unconditional love is, how hard it is to love someone in this world as a human being, and what that demands: those are the things I was interested in, ” he continued.

And according to the American Sniper star, all the songs in the movie are sung live.

Bradley admitted that it was thanks to the Born This Way singer that he felt comfortable enough to sing out loud.

“When I first met her to talk about the role, I asked her if we could sing this folk song together, because if there’s no chemistry or we can’t sing together, it won’t work, but she just sat down and made me feel comfortable, and from then on it was that way”.
