Beyoncé and Billie Eilish receive Oscar nominations

Beyoncé and Billie Eilish have been nominated for Best Original Song at the 2022 Oscars.

Emmy-winning actor and comedian Leslie Jordan and Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross announced the nominations for the 94th Academy Awards earlier today, ahead of the awards show on March 27.

Beyoncé earned her first Academy Award nomination with the song ‘Be Alive’ from King Richard, while Billie’s ‘No Time to Die’ from the James Bond film is also nominated.

The singers will go up against Lin Manuel-Miranda’s ‘Dos Oruguitas’ from Encanto, Van Morrison’s ‘Down to Joy’ from Belfast, and Diane Warren’s ‘Somehow You Do’ from Four Good Days in the Best Original Song category.

The 2022 Oscars will take place in the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
