Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy ‘have all said yes’ to Hocus Pocus sequel

We're so excited!

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy have all agreed to star in a Hocus Pocus sequel.

Twenty six years after the original movie was released, Disney+ have hired Workaholics writer and co-producer Jen D’Angelo to write a script for Hocus Pocus 2.

The news first hit headlines last month, but fans weren’t sure if the original cast would return for a second movie.

However, Sarah Jessica Parker has since confirmed that they’ve already said yes to reprising their roles.

The actress posted a photo of the Sanderson sisters to celebrate Halloween, and a fan asked if there was hope for a sequel in the comment section.

SJP replied: “We have all said yes. Now we wait.”

The original film starred Bette, Sarah Jessica, and Kathy as a trio of witch sisters who have been cursed since 1693 in Salem, Ma.

The witches are accidentally resurrected 300 years later, and as they try to acclimate to the 20th Century, they discover that Halloween has become a holiday.

Kenny Ortega directed the original from a script by Mick Garris and Neil Cuthbert, based on a story by Garris and David Kirschner.
