Bebe Rexha has revealed that she auditioned for the highly-anticipated Hustlers film.
The movie stars huge celebs such as Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Constance Wu and Lili Reinhart – who play strippers that work together to “turn tables on their Wall Street clients.”
Bebe has now revealed that she auditioned for the movie, but lost her place to a “blonde girl”.
Speaking on Beats 1, the singer revealed: “I auditioned for a movie recently, but I didn’t get it. It went to Cardi, but that’s fine — it didn’t go to Cardi, no, she didn’t have that spot, it was a different girl, the blonde girl.”
“I auditioned for the Hustlers movie, but I was supposed to be the Russian girl from New York,” she continued.
Bebe also revealed that she was approached to star in the film: “They hit me up and I was like, ‘okay, yeah, sure.’ So I got an acting coach. She’s awesome and she was teaching me how to act and stuff. It was really hard though because you have to be serious.”
The 29-year-old admitted that her mother wasn’t happy about her auditioning for the role and added: “My mom was not happy about it, though. She was like, ‘You can’t play a stripper! No!.'”
