Ariana Grande ‘to pay HUGE cut of 7 rings royalties’ to Rodgers & Hammerstein

Ariana Grande is reportedly paying a huge cut of the royalties from her hit ‘7 rings’ to Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II penned the classic, ‘My Favourite Things’ from The Sound of Music, which Ari used the melody of in her hit track.

According to The New York Times, the label the 25-year-old is signed with agreed to pay the late composers’ label, Concord 90% of the royalties.

Ariana’s label reportedly did not negotiate a better agreement and accepted the 90% cut just weeks before the hit was released.

Concord chief publishing executive, Jake Wisley told the publication that the song “wouldn’t exist in its current form were it not for ‘My Favourite Things.'”
