The singer will embark on her Sweetener world tour next year

Ariana Grande has revealed that she’s planning a “special show” for her return to Manchester next year.

The singer finally revealed the UK and Ireland dates for her Sweetener World Tour this week, but fans noted that she left out one very important city – Manchester.

However, Ariana has since explained: “Manchester is not on this initial list because we are planning a special show.”

“We need a bit more time getting things together before we can announce that date but we are of course coming and we love you,” she added.

The last time Ariana performed in Manchester was during her fundraising gig for the One Love Manchester fund.

In May last year, 22 people lost their lives and hundreds were injured after a suicide bomber detonated a device after Ariana’s concert in the Manchester Arena.

Two weeks later, the star returned to the city to host a massive concert with a host of major artists, and they raised millions for the victims and their families.

The UK leg of Ariana’s Sweetener tour will kick off on August 17, 2019.
