Ariana Grande pays tribute to Mac Miller on the opening night of her Sweetener tour

The rapper sadly passed away back in September

Ariana Grande paid tribute to Mac Miller in a sweet but subtle way on the opening night of her Sweetener world tour.

The songstress kicked off her tour in Albany, New York on Monday night at the Times Union Center.

As fans eagerly waited for Ari to hit the stage, a number of Mac’s songs were played through the speakers.

The news comes after the singer visited a tattoo parlour to change up some ink on her midriff.

Back when she was engaged to Pete Davidson last year, Ariana got a tattoo on her ribs which read “always”, which was written in Pete’s handwriting.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Ariana revealed a new leaf design over her “always” tattoo, but insisted that it’s “not a cover up” as she’s “just evolving”.

This isn’t the first time Ariana has covered up a tattoo dedicated to her ex-fiancé – as she previously changed a tattoo on her foot from “8418,” which was Pete’s father’s FDNY badge number, to one dedicated to Mac’s dog Myron.
