Anna Kendrick is in talks to take on the unique role of a female Santa Claus in a new Disney film.
Currently titled Nicole, the story involves Father Christmas quitting the Christmas business and his son getting cold feet at the prospect of taking over.
The 31-year-old will apparently play Santa’s daughter, who must take over the Christmas duty when her brother drops out of the challenge.
The movie will be written and directed by Miss Congeniality writer Marc Lawrence.

Anna has taken on various different types of roles in 2016 alone. She starred in The Accountant, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, and The Hollar.
Best known for her role in Pitch Perfect, Anna will be reprising her role as Beca in the next few months.
Rebel Wilson recently revealed in an Instagram post, that filming for Pitch Perfect 3 has begun.
