Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow have both claimed that Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed them.

Last night, the a-list actresses came forward, after The New York Times published a story exposing the fact that the Oscar-winning producer sexually harassed and abused a number of women over several decades.

Gwyneth has claimed that Harvey targeted her when she was just 22-years-old, after hiring her for the lead in Jane Austen adaptation Emma.

The 45-year-old said that he summoned her to his Beverly Hills hotel suite for a meeting, and claims that he placed his hands on her and suggested they head to the bedroom for massages.

Gwyneth revealed that she was “petrified” and told her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt, who then confronted Harvey at a theatre and told him to leave her alone.

However, the Hollywood producer later rang and “screamed” at her down the phone.

“It was brutal. I was expected to keep the secret,” she said.

Despite the incident, Gwyneth went on to star in 1999’s Shakespeare in Love, which was produced by Harvey, which she won an Oscar for.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie has revealed that she had a “bad experience” with Harvey while at a junket for his film Playing by Heart in 1998.

“I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth and, as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did.

“This behaviour towards women in any field, any country, is unacceptable,” she told the New York Times.
