Adele has landed a two-hour CBS special, featuring an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
‘Adele One Night Only’ will air on the CBS Television Network and be available to stream on Paramount+ on November 14, just five days ahead of the release of her highly anticipated album 30.
The event will see Adele perform some of her biggest hits, as well as several new songs, and she will also sit down with Oprah to discuss “her new album, the stories behind the songs, life after divorce, weight loss and raising her son”.
It is not yet known if the special, which will be filmed in Los Angeles, will air on a UK or Irish channel.
The news comes just three days after Adele released the first single from her new album, an emotional ballad called ‘Easy On Me’.
The track has become Spotify’s most streamed song in one day, and also received the most first-day Alexa song requests in Amazon Music history.
During an interview with Vogue magazine last week, the 33-year-old said she wrote her new album for her nine-year-old son Angelo.
Adele said she hoped the record would explain why she decided to divorce Angelo’s father Simon Konecki in 2019.
