Addison Rae jokes about ‘getting a job’ after being ‘banned’ from TikTok

Addison Rae has joked about getting a job, after she was temporarily banned from TikTok this week.

With 85 million followers, the 21-year-old is the third biggest star on the video sharing app, behind Charli D’Amelio and Khaby Lame.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, the social media star shared a screenshot of a message from TikTok, which read: “Your account was permanently banned due to multiple violations of our Community Guidelines. You can download your data.”

Addison jokingly captioned the post: “Well time to get a job.”

While her account appeared to be down on Friday, its now back up and running.

A TikTok spokesperson has since told E! News: “Her account was briefly down last night then restored within the hour.”

Addison was studying broadcast journalism at Louisiana State University when she started blowing up on TikTok in 2019.

After she started landing sponsorship deals with the likes of Fashion Nova, Addison left school to move to Los Angeles – where she helped form the Hype House, a collective group of content creators.

Since then, Addison has launched her own music career, and landed her first major acting role in Netflix film He’s All That.

She also launched her own makeup line last year, called Item Beauty.
