Goss Lust List: The Best Lipsticks For Summer

If I was trapped on a desert island and was allowed only one item from my makeup bag – it would probably be lipstick.

I feel like my true lippy obsession began when Kylie Jenner brought out the infamous Kylie Lip Kit – and I’ve never turned back since then.

That was 2015, and since then we have seen more and more companies release lip kits, a new focus on mattes and personally, a new obsession with nudes.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect pink to where every day, or you’re searching for a vibrant red, here’s my favourite lipsticks for summer:

Amazing Amal – Charlotte Tilbury

Amazing Amal – Charlotte Tilbury

So this week Charlotte Tilbury released her second Hot Lips collection – a limited edition range of matte lipsticks.

I was lucky enough to get sent the entire collection, and I’m obsessed with every shade.

I’m putting Amazing Amal (named after Amal Clooney) at the top of this list because it’s the perfect plumb lip for summer.

It’s not too dark, and has just about the right amount of pop you want in a deep lipstick colour.

At €35, you can buy in Brown Thomas stores or online HERE.

Kylie – Kylie Cosmetics

Next up, I couldn’t put together a lipstick list without mentioning the queen of lips herself.

This lip product, called Kylie, is actually a liquid matte lipstick – my favourite kind of lippie.

Kylie has been raving about her self-named shade, so I just had to try it for myself and I loved it.

It’s a perfect pinky nude for every day wear – and like all of Kylie’s matte lipsticks, you won’t need to constantly be touching up your lips, as the lasting time is insanely good.

The only issue with buying from Kylie Cosmetics is the time and the cost, you’re looking at nearly €40 for the product including shipping, but in my opinion it’s totally worth it.

You can buy Kylie right HERE.

Reese – Carter Beauty Cosmetics

Marissa Carter has just launched her first ever lip kits – and what perfect timing for summer.

Each colour is a nude, whether a brown nude or a pink nude, but Reese is definitely my favourite.

The Smooth Talker Lip Kit will only set you back €9.95 and includes a lip liner called ‘Battle Line’.

You can buy Reese right HERE.

Inglot x Terrie McEvoy Lip Stain

Last but not least, we loved Terrie McEvoy’s first collection with Inglot – and her lip stain is definitely the hero product of the range.

I have been popping on this matte lipstick for every day wear as well as evening wear – it’s now one of my favourite nudes.

My favourite is the shade 332, and at €15 you’re getting a perfect nude at a really good price.

You can get your hands on this lipstick right HERE.
