This summer dark lipstick is taking over the beauty brigade.
While normally sunshine brings trends of peaches, pinks and corals, this season a gothic trend has taken over.
From burgundy to navy to mocha, it’s a look that’s going to transfer well into the colder seasons.
Pair the dark lip with a simple bare eyeshadow and eyeliner flick, and you’re ready to go.

1. Urban Decay
Urban Decay recently launched their second Alice in Wonderland collection, Through the Looking Glass.
They’re released a palette with loads of bright, fun colours, but we’ve been seriously loving their lipsticks.
In the lipstick collection, there are two fab colours for this season’s new trend; Mirana, a rich vampire red, and Time, a luxurious navy.

2. Estee Lauder
Make-up giants, Estee Lauder, as known for their Double Wear Foundation, but are serious competitors in the lipstick world.
From super nourishing glossy lipsticks to kiss proof mattes, they are one of the best out there.
Their Pure Color Envy Matte lipstick in Commanding is a show stopper, a rich, burnt red tone that will suit all skin tones.

3. Kylie Lip Kit
Everyone is obsessing over Kylie Jenner’s lipstick range, and we’re right there with them.
The Queen of Lips is set to launch her latest colour, KyMajesty, in just a couple of days.
The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan released a matte black, Dead of Knight, just a few days ago, but KyMajesty is going to be a glam sparkly black.

NYX is one of the leading high street brands in make-up and they are making a bigger name for themselves with their Liquid Suede lipsticks.
Stone Fox is a granite grey that’s quite soft and easy to wear if you aren’t a fan of wearing black.
Even add a bit of white eye shadow on the centre of your lip to lighten it up if you find it too harsh.

5. Illamasqua
We are loving this fab dark purple, and loving the name of the lipstick even more!
Illamasqua’s Paranormal lipstick all feature dark, spooky colours, but ESP is stunning.
