Self-confessed beauty product junkies in Goss HQ, we have to admit we’ve become more aware of how our favourite skincare must-haves are made.

Knowing this, we wanted to find the best natural, organic and cruelty free products on the market at the moment.

Becoming more conscious cosmetic consumers, we found the best products out there that are not only helping our skin but the world (in some way) around us too.

 

1. Organic Surge

Natural skincare brand Organic Surge launched their range of organic beauty products in Ireland in February.

The British brand’s products aren’t tested on animals and are 100% free of harsh chemicals – no parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, no artificial fragrances or colourants and no genetically modified ingredients.

With an army of celebrity fans including Made in Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue, there’s no wonder their eco-certified Nourishing Rose Day Cream Enriched with Damask Rose Oil (€19.34) is a winner.

 

2. Kinvara

The brainchild of Galway woman Joanne Reilly, Kinvara have been making a name for themselves since 2012.

Paraben, SLS, mineral oils, alchol free, the Irish skincare range doesn’t test on animals either.

The Kinvara Hot Cloth Cleanser (€19.99) is a must for those looking to gently cleanse skin and remove make-up effortlessly – naturally/

Made with 100% plant oils, their no water formulation means this product is free from preservatives of any kind.

 

3. Dr. Bronner’s

World renowned sustainable, fair trade and certified organic brand Dr Bronner’s has an array of skincare treats for the eco-warriors amongst us.

Dr Bronner’s iconic 18-n-1 Pure Castille Soap (starting from €3.35) is must for anyone looking be able to wash their hair, brush their teeth or clean their hands with one product. It’s honestly mind blowing.

The range is available from health shops and pharmacies nationwide.

 

4. Trilogy

Trilogy has been pioneering the way with their products over the past 14 years.

Founded in 2002 by sisters Sarah Gibbs and Catherine de Groot, the brand’s Rosehip Oils have taken the beauty market by storm and won them numerous accolades.

Trilogy’s Rosehip Oil (€32.95) is 100% natural and eco-certified so no need to second guess this going on your skin.

 

5. The Body Shop

We couldn’t of done a list of cruelty free beauty brands without mentioning The Body Shop.

The retailer recently revealed they are aiming to be the world’s most ethical and sustainable global business.

Launching their #EnrichNotExploit campaign earlier this, nab their limited edition Hemp Hand Protector (€18.50) to help the cause.

 

6. Lush

Filled with a wide array of colourful and deliciously smelling products, Lush use only fresh and ethically soured ingredients with as little packaging as possible.

The Canadian company’s shampoo, conditioner and massage bars are free from packaging – meaning they save millions of plastic bottles from being produced every year.

At Goss HQ we have to admit we love their fizzy bath bombs!

7.  Dr. Hauschka

Since it’s launch in 1967, Dr Hauschka skincare line’s has promised to bring plant-based products to the market.

From body creams to homeopathic remedies, Dr Hauschka Natural Deodorant  (€16.95) is a winner for the eco-aware.

Not only is the product extremely effective, it also comes in the most divine rose and sage scents.

 

8. Green Angel

Irish brand Green Angel produces a range of natural skincare products paraban and cruelty free.

Founded in 2006 by Chris and Mary Mitchel, the brand has been a big beauty contender on the Irish market for a decade.

Goss HQ are fans of their Seaweed facial toner with Cucumber, Lettuce, Sage and Irish Seaweed (€14.95) that helps refresh the skin after a long day.

 

9. Aldi’s Lé Mara

Cruelty free beauty doesn’t have to cost the earth with Aldi’s new Lé Mara Irish Seaweed range.

Made from hand-harvested seaweed found on the west coast of Ireland, the line is vegan and vegetarian friendly.
