You talkin' to me? Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese set for Irish mobster movie

Robert De Niro is teaming up with Hollywood director Scorsese for an upcoming Irish gangster film.

The pair have worked together on crime classics Taxi Driver and Goodfella’s and will be reuniting for I Heard You Paint Houses.

“We are doing it – We should be doing it sometime next year. We’re slowly, slowly getting it in place.” Robert told The Digital Spy.

The film will be based on a book by Charles Brandt that tells the story of Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheerman who confessed to more then 25 mob hits.

“I’m gonna play that character. That’s something I’m looking forward to very much,” He said on The Jimmy Fallon show.

The real-life crime movie has been tipped to star Hollywood A-listers Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.
