Voice star faces 15 sex charges

Voice contestant Jeff Anderson has been charged with 15 sexual offences.

The County Down native, who performed on the BBC show in 2014, appeared at Downpatrick Magistrate’s Court to have bail conditions changed so he could travel to England to find work as a performer.

During the court hearing, Jeff was read 16 charges including allegations of 15 sex crimes dating between 2005 and 2013, according to the Mirror.

The charges include two alleged incidents of indecent assault on a separate female child and alleged incidents of possession of an indecent photograph or pseudophotograph of a child.

It also included 10 alleged incidents of recording without their consent and for the purposes of sexual gratification, a person doing a private act, and one charge of theft.

The TV star confirmed in court he understood the charges against him and was allowed to leave Northern Ireland to fly to England as well as the Republic of Ireland to look for work.

The 25-year-old also made a name for himself on BBC’s Superstar in 2012 where he vied for the part of the son of God in a new production of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar.
