Watch out Xpose! UTV Ireland extend showbiz show The Pulse

TV3’s Xpose is about to face some stiff competition as UTV Ireland have announced they’ve extended their entertainment bulletin The Pulse to a half-hour weekly show.

Presented by Jenny Buckley, the showbiz show first kicked off in July and has since amounted over 200,000 people per week.

Speaking about the newly extended programme, Jenny said she thinks they’ve put their own fresh stamp on the TV market.

“I am absolutely thrilled that The Pulse has been extended to half an hour and we are delighted that Diet Coke will continue the journey with us,” she said.

“It has been a hugely enjoyable project to work on and I think we have put a fresh and individual stamp on entertainment reporting.

“The series producer, Trevor Keegan, and I will continue to develop the programme by introducing new elements to the current format – including a dedicated weekly fashion segment and updates from Nelson Aspen, our US-based entertainment correspondent who will give us all the latest gossip from across the pond,” she added.

“Aside from providing our viewers with the most up-to-date showbiz, movie and fashion news, we will also provide exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Ireland’s favourite soaps, including our very own Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

“We also have some really exciting interviews lined up for the weeks and months ahead, so watch this space.”

The Pulse will broadcast every Friday at 8pm, from Friday the 22nd January, exclusively on UTV Ireland.
