Una Healy hits back at claims her marriage is in trouble

Una Healy has denied that her marriage is on the rocks with her husband Ben Foden, following changing her surname back to Healy.

The former The Saturdays star has reassured fans that she is still very happily married, after she changed back to her maiden name on Twitter for work purposes.

“I’m going back to Healy. It is nothing to do with my personal life.

“It is my stage name and I am just about to go solo again and it is like reverting back to that name I had when I was first a singer songwriter,” she stressed.

“It’s like going back to my roots. Ben is 100 per cent behind me and he supports me — he even made an online joke about it. It is the name I want to be known as when I am announced on stage as a solo artist,” she told Evoke.ie.

The Voice of Ireland joked that she’s surprised people even noticed – as she feels like she’s always been known as “Una from the Saturdays”.

“To be honest I’m a bit surprised at the commotion because most people know me as Una from the Saturdays. It is like Saturday was my surname.

“As a person I just feel that for my music it suits to have my own name because it is so different from the band. There are no domestics going on at home I can assure you of that.

All good: Una admits she is always going to be Mammy Foden

“Everything is grand my husband supports me and it is not like I will be changing my name on my passport,” she explained.

Reassuring her worried fans that she is still going to be “Mammy Foden”, the singer revealed she just wants to be called Una Healy on the stage.

“I am still going to be Mammy Foden to my children and I am Mrs Una Foden the rest of the time.

“The only time I am Una Healy is when I am on stage as a solo artist,” she added.
