The Top 7 places to grab a drink during the Web Summit

With over 30,000 people expected to attend this week’s Web Summit, there will be a lot of thirsty entrepreneurs floating around.

While there is an official Night Summit schedule, we’ve put together a list of hot spots you should check out while you’re here in Dublin.

Lillie’s Bordello

We wouldn’t be Ireland’s number 1 showbiz website if we didn’t mention Lillie’s.

Known for constantly having celeb punters (from Rihanna, One Direction, Michael Fassbender and Bono), Lillie’s is the place to go if you want some glitz and glam.

Located just off Grafton Street, the who’s who of Dublin’s social circles are always spotted there – and it’s the perfect place to relax in style with a glass of champers or an Irish whiskey.

Sophie’s at The Dean

the dean

This is the spot to go if you want to enjoy some amazing views of Dublin.

Located on Harcourt Street in The Dean Hotel, Sophie’s has a roof top area with spectacular 360 views of the city.

Relax and sit back with elegant food and a long list of drinks and take in the city at sunset, or better yet at night time when Dublin is all lit up.

Dakota

dakota

Set bang in the centre of the city, Dakota is the perfect place to relax with a cocktail.

Located on South William Street, you’re right next to some awesome eateries as well.

Many meetings (and first dates) take place in Dakota so you’re in good hands. Specifically Thursday’s are great because you can get 2 for 1 cocktails.

Pygmalion

If you really want to know the Dublin hipster scene then head to Pygmalion.

Located on the same street as Dakota, you will love the chilled out vibes here and you’ll definitely meet some cool people.

This whole area is home to Ireland’s artist scene – with actors and singers frequenting this place. My favourite drink here is their White Russian.

House

If you’re looking for a quiet drink and possibly to have a meeting with a drink then House is the perfect place.

Located on Leeson Street, House is right in the centre of Dublin’s business hub with loads of top companies in offices near by.

With a garden area and a lovely menu it’s the perfect place to chill.

37 Dawson Street

37

Dawson Street is another cool area in Dublin full of great places to grab a drink.

Another swish place is 37 Dawson Street, which also has a dedicated whiskey bar.

With a funky design and also awesome food, 37 stays open late mid-week so it’s the perfect place to let loose.

Coppers

coppers

Any Dubliner will tell you to go to Coppers and while I’d personally rather party in a gutter than spend a whole night in Coppers, it is a must-do experience while you’re in the capital.

If you want to dance the night away to 90s hits and you’re looking to get “the shift” then Coppers is the perfect place for you.

You will no doubt bump into a few nurses and Gardai while you’re there and the GAA team and Rugby lads like to frequent the club too.
