The Edge opens up about U2 being cursed

U2 haven’t been blessed with the luck of the Irish the past year with The Edge’s stage slip and having to cancel two shows after a gunman threat.

Although hit with a series of unfortunate events, The Edge has revealed that the four-piece still feel as lucky as ever even after their year.

“We haven’t had one show that we felt didn’t have the right kind of spirit. We haven’t had one lukewarm reaction,” he said.

“We haven’t had one bad review. It’s like the whole tour has been so blessed. Sold-out everywhere.”

The legendary guitarist missed what could’ve been a serious fall during one of their sold-out gigs but the 54-year-old has admitted that the band don’t waste time being superstitious.

“I was joking, asking the others if any of them had been in close proximity to Tutankhamun’s sarcophagus or any other part of his tomb,” he told Hot Press.
