The Coronas, Hozier and Imelda May have joined together for a charity compilation album called Don’t Be Afraid of the Light Within You in aid of the Samaritans.
The charity album is dedicated to “all those people who have not yet found the courage to call Samaritans, please just be patient and gentle with yourselves, that day will come.”
While the album will feature Hozier, The Coronas and Imelda May, it will also feature contributions from Paddy Casey, Mary Black, The Hothouse Flowers, and Roisin O to name a few.

An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, has supported the albums release by saying “Music is our escape, our comfort, our sanity, our sense, our joy. Quiet now. Like the Samaritans, listen.”
‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Light Within You’ will be released on October 9th and all proceeds will go to the Samaritans.
