Teresa Mannion is officially an international star: 'CNN are after me'

Internet sensation Teresa Mannion has revealed CNN are after her – since her weather report went viral.

The RTE star, who made a unforgettable weather report on Saturday about Storm Desmond, revealed she’s been in her own “bubble” since hitting the headlines.

“I’m in my own little storm bubble, it’s just not dying down like Storm Desmond, it just seems to be getting bigger and bigger,” she said.

“I just heard that CNN are looking for me.”

Back to work: Teresa says she’s stuck in a bubble

“I’m a bit of a saddo if I get a few followers a week, I’m happy but I think I’ve had over 3,000 new followers in the last 24 hours.

“My phone just keeps pumping, pumping, pumping. I’m like my teenage sons, I can’t stop looking at it and I’m always saying ‘Get your face out of your phone’,” she laughed.

Although seeing the funny side, Teresa insisted broadcasting in Storm Desmond was no joke.

“I am and I really do see the funny side of things and some of it, is just comedy gold but I have to say if you were in my shoes, you had the gust bellowing off the Atlantic ocean,” she admitted.

“And you have your earpiece in, that I’m hanging on to dear life – up full volume and you’re desperately trying to hear the studio and you can barely hear Aengus Mac Grianna voice.

“But you just keep going and your body is swaying,” she explained.
