TV star Simon Delaney has landed a role in the upcoming horror movie The Conjuring 2.
The TV3 host only recently started his new gig hosting Saturday AM on the channel and now he’s already going to have to take some time off for the bright lights of Hollywood.
The supernatural thriller is the sequel to the hugely successful The Conjuring which grossed  over 300 million at the box office, making it one of the most financially successful horror movies of all time.

Stars of the franchise Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson will reprise their roles in the sequel where they travel to London to help a woman who is being tormented by malicious spirits.
It’s not yet known what role Simon will play in the flick however the role is sure to set him on the path to international recognition.
The part also wont effect the status of his job at TV3 as the presenter has it written into his contract that he can take leave for acting roles.
“It’s in my contract that if I’m on tour with a show or if a role comes up I can take it and they’ll have someone stand in for me,” he told The Herald.
