Although he is reported to have set up a golf agency, Niall Horan is still keen on working on his music as he approached Shawn Mendes to write with him.
The singer-songwriter revealed the Mullingar man private messaged him on the social media platform to see if he wanted to write together.
“He [Niall] did, he just said ‘Hey, what’s up, give me a text if you’re ever interested in writing together.’ He’s a really cool guy,” he said.

Since the 22-year-old’s band One Direction has gone on hiatus, Niall has even more time on his hands so Shawn said they can “figure out” a time to get in the studio.
“Yeah, we can figure out a time and place definitely,” he told Capital FM.

“Probably Niall, yeah I like him,” he revealed.
“I met him in America once and then he actually reached out to me on Twitter so I got to talk to him for a little bit but he seemed really cool and genuine.”
