Model Sarah McGovern has revealed that she’s “delighted” to still be booking jobs as an older model.
The 38-year-old  has been strutting he stuff on runways for 16 years and now often works with girls who are half her age.
“I did a show last week and there were girls who were 16 and and 17 walking beside me,” she said.

“I was looking at the them thinking that I started modelling when you were born.”
“I was quite proud to still be walking beside them I have to say, but it’s funny when you see them doing their homework and I have two kids. It’s a nice compliment.”
The beauty admitted that her age does play on her mind “a little” but she’s grateful that the modelling industry in Ireland is kinder to older women.

“You can model longer here which is great and you can move into a different bracket too,” she said.
“I think the Irish market is OK with older models, if we were abroad it would be different.”
“I see people calling me a 34 or 35 in the papers so maybe clients just don’t know my real age,” she joked.
“I didn’t think I’d be modelling after my first child and hear I am after two. As long as people keep booking me, I’ll keep showing up,” she told The Herald.
