Saoirse Ronan has won the gong for Best Actress at the British Independent Film Awards.
The Irish killed it at the awards ceremony – with Lenny Abrahamson winning Best International Film for his movie Room and Brendan Gleeson winning Best Supporting Actor for Suffragette.
Now Saoirse Ronan is leading it for the ladies – winning Best Actress for her role in Brooklyn.
The movie has received mega Oscar buzz in the last few months, mainly for Saoirse’s outstanding performance.
With the Golden Globes only around the corner it looks like there will be a lot of Irish headed to Hollywood in the New Year.
