It is believed that Ryan Tubridy will not be replaced on 2fm.
The Late Late Show host is the favourite to replace John Murray on Radio 1 – however his 9am slot on 2fm will reportedly not be taken over by another presenter.
Dave Fanning will cover Radio 1 for the month of August with Ryan set to fill the seat in September.

Rumours had been swirling that Nicky Byrne would replace Ryan on 9am but with his 11am show flying high in the latest JNLR ratings – he will reportedly stay with his current show co-hosted with Jenny Greene.
The current summer arrangement of Breakfast Republic continued to 10am which will be followed immediately by The Nicky Byrne Show is expected to continue into the Autumn schedule.
“We’re focused on the JNLRs releasing today for all stations. The RTE Radio 1 9am slot will be announced in due course,” a spokesperson for RTE Radio 1 told The Independent.
