Ray D'Arcy insists he WON'T be making any changes to the Saturday Night Show

Ray D’Arcy has admitted that he will not be making any changes to his upcoming Saturday Night Show.

The radio host said that he will not be changing the format of the chat show.

“It’s going to be a chat show. We’re not going to reinvent the wheel,” he revealed.

Ray will be taking over from Brendan O’Connor’s slot as the 50 year old presenter has made his return to RTÉ.

Brendan O’Connor revealed on the show one night that he would not be returning and he was looking forward to the next step.

And don’t be too upset, I have another show in the works for next season,” he said.

The Kildare native left Today FM after 15 years and says the decision to return to RTÉ was down to his age.

“I’m 50 and if you’re trying to reflect your audience and how they feel and where they are in their lives, that’s very age specific,” he added.

The former children’s TV presenter feels he was brought back to the national broadcaster to change things up.

“I’d say part of the reason we were brought in is to change the tome slightly,” he told The Sunday Times.
