PICS: Samantha Mumba launches the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt 2017 in aid of Barnardos

Samantha Mumba has been announced as the ambassador for this year’s Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt in aid of Barnardos.

The former pop princess has her hands full these days – not only running around after her adorable daughter Sage, but also with a new hosting job on TV3’s 6 O’clock Show, but has found the time to join in on the family fun that is taking place in Merrion Square, Dublin 2 this Easter weekend.

Families looking for a fun day out this Easter can look no further, as the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt will have something to keep everyone entertained while hunting for chocolate eggs on Good Friday 14th April and Easter Saturday 15th of April.

Now in its fourth year, the city centre park will be transformed into a chocolately children’s playground with music workshops, face painting, a petting zoo and wooden games in the Cadbury Easter Bunny Village.

Families can also attempt to ‘Earn their Ears’ by playing the carnival games, or compete in the ever popular and always egg-citing sports day events. However, fear not as at this Easter Egg Hunt, everyone’s a winner and will receive a delicious Cadbury Easter egg on completion of the trail!

Speaking about the event, Samantha Mumba said, “I am so excited to be involved in this year’s Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt in aid of Barnardos. It is such a great cause and it makes for the perfect family day out this Easter.”

Family tickets cost €20 and single tickets cost just €5 with every cent from the ticket sales going to Barnardos to help their important work with children across Ireland.

Barnardos is Ireland’s leading independent children’s charity that works tirelessly for the wellbeing of children across Ireland and we are proud to support them again this year.”[/caption]

Ruth Guy, Barnardos Director of Fundraising and Marketing said, “The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt is a really fun day out for the whole family and we are delighted to be bringing it back to Merrion Square in Dublin this Easter weekend. We’re really grateful to Cadbury for donating 100% of the ticket sales to Barnardos so every family that attends the hunt over the weekend is directly helping children and families around Ireland.”

Families can choose from a morning slot (10:30am-1pm) or an afternoon slot (2pm – 4:30pm) on the Friday and Saturday. Tickets are on sale from 12pm on Thursday 23rd March here, with 100% of the proceeds going to Barnardos.
