PICS: The Kraken Freaky Tiki Pop-Up

The Kraken Freaky Tiki pop-up landed in Dublin over the weekend – and it looked like quite the party.

The pop-up launched on Friday with an exclusive media preview, and guests in attendance included modal Sarah Tansey, stylist Corina Gaffey, 98FM’s Rebecca Shekleton and bloggers Gemma Burke and Amanda Wallace.

As night fell on Dublin City, visitors were transported to a devilishly dark Polynesian realm where they sipped on terrifyingly tempting rum cocktails, chowed down on calamari from the Deep, savoured black, Kraken-infused ice cream and toasted black S’mores over a giant fire pit.

The night awoke with lots of hidden Kraken surprises including DJ sets, charcoal face and body painting and a Tiki photobooth to capture lost nights.

Guests who appreciated the darker things in life indulged their taste buds with The Kraken’s signature cocktails, including the Perfect Storm and the Kraken Eclipse.

The Kraken Freaky Tiki Bar stayed open Saturday, 30th September, at 22 Montague Lane, off Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2.
