It was a family affair as stars and their families took to the green carpet for a Wicked night at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.
Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre was full to capacity on Wednesday evening for the opening night of the hit musical Wicked.
The unforgettable production with all its spectacle and magic has touched down in Dublin and will run until 14th September.
Spotted taking to the green carpet on the night were Arthur Gourounlian and his mother Maria, Baz Ashmawy and his partner Tanja and his mother Nancy, Actress Alisha Weir and her sister Katie, Radio Presenters Rebecca Shekleton, Brendan O Loughlin and David O ‘Reilly, Dev Skehan, Julian Benson and Derville Meade, Sonya Lennon and her daughter Evie, Siomha Ni Ruairc, Alan Hughes, Glenda Gilson and her mother Aileen, Karen Koster and her daughter Eve, James Patrice Butler was accompanied by his father Jim and mother Fron, Clementine MacNeice, Katja Mia, Darren Kennedy, Paul Ryder as well as Zeinab Elguzouli and her mother Aisling who also stepped out on the carpet on the night.
Based on the acclaimed novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked imagines a beguiling backstory and future possibilities in the lives of L. Frank Baum’s beloved characters from ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ reveal the decisions and events that shape the destinies of two unlikely university friends on their journey to becoming Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
