Fade Street, Nadine Coyle and Tallafornia cringe: Our Top 5 favourite Irish reality TV moments

From OMG moments to screaming matches to the occasional romance – reality TV has something for everyone.

Some people might turn down their nose at reality  – but Goss HQ can’t get enough of it.

Irish telly has definitely made it’s own unique stamp on the genre and we’ve listed our top 5 favourite reality moments over the years.

1. Nadine Coyle lies about her age

Way back in 2001, future pop star Nadine Coyle auditioned for failed pop group Six.

Unfortunately, one of the rules of the band was that members had to be at least 18 years old.

It looked like it could end up being the worst moment of Nadine’s life but ended up being a blessing in disguise – as the Irish singer ended up as a member of Girls Aloud soon after.

Watch the hilarious clip where the Derry native gets a little confused over her date of birth and just can’t seem to find that pesky passport.

2. Nikita gives Phil a lapdance on Tallafornia

Tallafornia was TV3’s attempt to create an Irish version of Geordie Shore.

Needless to say, it didn’t exactly work out and instead the creators produced one of the most cringe-worthy pieces of television known to man.

One of the most notable cover-your-eyes moments came when Nikita decided it was time she gave Phil a sexy lapdance in the kitchen.

The Dubliner’s awkward grinding and girating didn’t exactly seem to get Phil’s juices flowing – and it certainly didn’t help the show stay on the air either.

3. Fade Street’s first world problems

Ireland’s answer to The Hills made stars out of the likes of Louise Johnston and Vogue Williams – as we watched them going through the trials and tribulations of being a twenty-something in Dublin.

From trying to decide who gets to go to Oxygen, to who should have to take the clothes out of the washing machine – the struggle was like, totally real for the girls of Fade Street.

However, our favourite part of the whole series has to be the tumultuous and always dramatic relationship between Dani and Paul – it gave us all the feels.

4. Celebrity Salon shenanigans

Celebrity Salon featured a bunch of well known personalities facing off to see who could be the best beautician of them all.

Series 2 boasted a particularly good cast and we especially love this clip of the gang cutting loose with a game of black jack.

It’s the series that created the showmance of Georgia Salpa and Calum Best, and this night seemed to kick it all off.

After a few drinks the half-Greek model compared breast sizes with Rosanna Davison and co-star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace.

Meanwhile, Rosanna found herself in a fit of giggles when she asked Calum: “how big is my hole?”

5. The fights on Dublin Wives

It’s hard to pick just one moment from Dublin Wives but we really loved all the fights.

The promo for series 2 shows us that it’s pretty safe to say the ladies didn’t exactly see eye to eye.

From calling each other liars to shouting “shut the f**k up” over the dinner table, there was plenty of drama on the TV series.

We especially love Danielle’s look of utter hatred when she tells Virgina Macari they are most definitely friends again.
