Kodaline have shown exactly why they have been forced to cancel their entire American tour.
The Dublin rockers had been planning a major series of gigs across the US and Canada before bassist Jay Bolan hurt his arm.
The 27-year-old was forced to undergo emergency surgery last week – and the band have now released a picture of his injuries as he recovers hospital.

However Kodaline insisted today that they “will be back” following his arm getting better.
Previously they told fans: “We are so sorry to tell you that we have to cancel the whole of the US/Canadian tour!
“Jay seriously damaged his arm and it’s not healed as it should, this resulted in him having a major operation last week!
“He is on doctors orders and was advised not to be in a tour bus or move much so he can heal properly!
“We are so sorry to disappoint all of you but we will reschedule this tour ASAP and can’t wait to come back early next year, bigger, better and stronger with our new album!”
