Saoirse Ronan and Michael Fassbender have both won International Star Awards at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Carlow native Saoirse was awarded for her role in hit movie Brooklyn, amid heavy speculation that she will be getting an Oscar nomination.
Taking place at the Palm Springs Convention Centre in California, Michael Fassbender also received an award for his role in Jobs.
After spending Christmas at home in Kerry, Michael jetted to LA to accepted the award from his Jobs co-star Kate Winslet.
