He’s already been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor award at the Oscars – and now Michael Fassbender is tipped for another academy award.

Michael was previously up for an Oscar for his role in 12 Years A Slave and now critics are praising his performance as Apple founder Steve Jobs in the new biopic Jobs.

“You get the strong sense from Fassbender of a mind that is always several steps beyond EVERYONE else’s,” The Hollywood Reporter wrote.

Oscar buzz: Michael is being tipped for glory

While Variety magazine stated the Irish star “completely owns the screen” despite the fact that his character is “very unlikeable throughout” the movie.

But possibly the highest praise of all has come from Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

“I saw a rough cut and I felt like I was actually watching Steve Jobs and the others, not actors playing them,” he told Deadline.com.

“I give full credit to Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin [writer] for getting it so right.”

The film has hit a lot of obstacles with regards to casting, with both Leonardo Di Caprio and Christian Bale both backing out of the role.

But now it seems Fassbender was the perfect choice – Danny Boyle directs the movie with the script written by Aaron Sorkin who wrote the screenplay for The Social Network.

Michael stars alongside Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels.
